The Ukrainian State military group plans to increase its production of weapons in 2022

 


Ukraine’s State military holding Ukroboronprom intends to increase production of high-precision weapons and ammunition by 16.4% in 2022, compared to 2021. Yury Gusev, general director of Ukroboronprom.


According to Gusev, the concern estimates export earnings in 2022 at $1.17 million, up 6% compared to 2021.

Ukroboronprom continues to manufacture three Antonov AN-178 aircraft by order of the Ministry of Defense, an AN-32P aircraft for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and fulfills orders for aviation enterprises, including for the Ukrainian National Airline.

Kherson State Plant Pallada has already begun construction of a composite floating dock with a carrying capacity of 5,000 tons commissioned by the Croatian company Iscra Shipyard LLC. It is expected that the order can additionally load the capacity of the enterprise for at least a year.

At the moment, Ukroboronprom is working on the production of air-to-air missiles. The creation of a prototype ship-based SCRC “Neptune” continues. According to the results of trial tests, the Vilkha-M missile system should be adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukroboronprom increased the production of weapons, military equipment and other products by 24% in 2021 compared to 2020, to UAH 39 billion.

Now the State-owned group is undergoing reorganization. The government agreed on the reorganization of 43 strategic enterprises, members of Ukroboronprom, into business entities directly controlled by the State.
