Since its inception, the Ministry of Digital Transformation has worked closely with Meta (formerly Facebook). Together they launched workshops for entrepreneurs, educational SMB Hub Ukraine for small and medium-sized businesses, the Ukrainian version of the digital education platform for parents, teachers, and adolescents Get Digital, as well as the AMBER Alert missing person notification system.
Meta paid an online visit to Ukraine and held an online meeting with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. They discussed the possibilities of supporting Ukrainian entrepreneurs in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and promoting digital business transformations. Kateryna Kruk, Facebook’s Head of Public Policy in Central and Eastern Europe, moderated the meeting.
Ukraine is an extremely important country for Meta. There is a real technological boom in Central and Eastern Europe – 38,000 startups in the region, and in Ukraine, about 2,000 startups. We are trying to help them accelerate their development and enter international markets
Angelika Gifford, Meta Vice President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa
Meta’s top manager also gave three tips to entrepreneurs who do not yet have a website and experience in digital marketing:
1) Have an online presence, and creating a Facebook page or Instagram profile is easy.
2) Explore how to reach consumers. For example, use targeted advertising on social networks.
3) Never stop learning.
