The head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Maksym Kutsyi signed a memorandum of cooperation with representatives of the German company Notus Energy.
According to the document, entrepreneurs are required to build three wind farms in the region. The total investment exceeds € 450 million.
“Today, the issue of reducing the environmental impact of the energy industry is pressing. Renewable energy sources can play a key role in this task. Ukraine has already introduced a strong incentive for green energy development in the form of a green tariff. And now more than € 1 billion has been invested in renewable energy in our country. This is more than any other industry, ”

According to the memorandum, in the next two years, the investors envisage the implementation of three investment projects. Including:
1. Ovidiopol Energy LLC is the construction of a wind power plant with a total installed capacity of 120 MW worth EUR 180 million. Territory: Yosypivs’ka, Maryanivs’ka, Petrodolyns’ka, Novodolyns’kyi village councils The start of construction is 2020. Commissioning – 2022.
2. Ovid Wind II LLC is the construction of a wind power plant with a total installed capacity of 88 MW worth EUR 132 million. Territory – Roksolany village council (outside settlements). The start of construction is 2020. The commissioning is 2022.
3. Ovid Wind III LLC – construction of a wind power plant with a total installed capacity of 93.5 MW, worth 140 million euros. Territory – Ovidiopol City Council. The start of construction is 2020. The commissioning is 2022.
“These are quite important social projects. We see a huge increase in revenue in areas and communities where similar wind farms are being created. I mean income tax, value added tax, personal income tax and more. In addition, local businesses are involved in the construction, which has a positive impact on employment in these areas, ” said Notus Energy spokesman Otto Hannes Gainer.
In total, it is planned to create about 200 jobs during the construction of the stations and 50 for the maintenance phase.
Social impact measures will also be taken as part of the project implementation: 30,000 euros will be invested in local infrastructure for each wind farm.
